Established in 1958, the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) is the forerunner in the establishment of international standards for the exploration and sustainable use of outer space. UNOOSA’s mission is to support international cooperation, ensure equal access to space, provide countries with adequate technology, and uphold the standards of the Outer Space Treaty of 1967. At EverMUN 2025, UNOOSA will provide delegates with a unique experience to explore the intricacies of space law, develop skills to foster international collaboration, and contribute to the responsible use of outer space for peace, security, and science.

Director
Gatha is a junior at Eastlake High School and is enchanted to be part of EverMUN 2025. The show Never Have I Ever may be the reason she joined MUN in the first place, but the fearless feeling of raising her placard for the first time is what made her stay. From staying up the night before a conference to write her position paper to buying a million candy grams for her friends, she is positive EverMUN will be an experience that delegates will remember all too well. Outside of MUN, you can find her ranting about fictional characters to anyone in sight (be warned), crying to “Mirrorball” by Taylor Swift, and convincing everyone in her life to watch The Summer I Turned Pretty (Team Conrad, of course). She is thrilled to see delegates grow in their extraterrestrial research and astronomical debate skills for MUN, and can’t wait for conference weekend!
Chair
Yastika Chouhan is a high school freshman from Eastlake High School passionate about all things politics, food, music, fashion, and EverMUN 2025. She started her MUN journey as a 6th grader just completing another assignment for her English class - but after attending EverMUN 2022, she fell deeply in love with the MUNtastic world of diplomacy and solving real-world issues, also known as MUN. From poisoning presidents to rapping her way into taking over a pirate ship, Yastika has done it all in MUN. So when not declaring war on another country, you can find her on the court playing tennis, adding songs to the only Spotify playlist she listens to (which mainly consists of Tyler, The Creator and SZA), obsessively watching 2000s rom coms, analyzing current events, or with her friends.
Assistant Director
Arnav Bharadwaj is a junior at Eastlake highschool and is PUMPED to serve as the assistant director for UNOOSA at EverMUN 2025! He remembers his first conference, being absolutely terrified, forgetting the ROP, and not wanting to speak. However, by the end of the conference, he was raising his placard and writing resolutions. MUN has taught him many things, but it has also provided him with some of his fondest memories, including the time he had to dance for the whole committee. You can find Arnav dancing, playing Marvel Rivals, and trying to pretend that he gets enough sleep. Arnav is excited to meet all of you at EverMun 2025 and can’t wait for you all to have the greatest MUN experience.
